N269 Process Control Tonnage Monitor
The N269 process control monitor provides advanced information and control for refractory, powdered
metal and compaction presses. It is far more comprehensive than a typical tonnage monitor. It can improve
product quality, reduce scrap and increase profits while protecting against machine overload. Help solve
quality control and size variations with the N269. Plus, continuously check job status to forecast
completion and measure press performance against established standards (you can set).
The N269 controls the variable fill on the basis of peak load. It uses one or two strain gages to
determine the peak load on each press cycle and responds by operating the appropriate relay. Five
relays are used: four control the process and the fifth can stop the press. Four setpoints establish
the five zones.
Four control setpoints establish a "quality window" that assures acceptable parts are being made. It
has five zone counters (high reject, good-decrease fill, good, good-increase fill, low reject), four
relay counters (reject, good, decrease fill, increase fill) and up to six alarm counters.
